More about the Gotha made trams of Gotha here Triebwagen nr 34 was a 1968 Gotha - Tatra T2D which was scrapped the following year in 1992. Possibly with trailer nr 94, a 1960 Gotha B57 The motor car carries advertising for the Thüringer Allgemeine newspaper, one of several papers which were competing vigorously in the town in the early 90s, using trams to advertise themselves. The TA zeitung is based in Erfurt, but has only carried this name since 1990, prior to which it was the DDR newspaper Das Volk which carried the line of the SED. In 2009, the chief editor since the beginning in 1990 was given the push in the way things were done in the old days. Plus ca change. |
