Franc-usona alianco

La Franc-usona alianco referencas al la alianco de 1778 inter la Reĝlando Francio kaj Usono dum la Usona revolucia milito. Formaligita en la Traktato de Alianco de 1778, ĝi estis milita pakto *per kiu francoj havigis multajn necesaĵojn al Usono. Ankaŭ Nederlando kaj Hispanio poste aliĝis kiel aliancanoj de Francio; Britio ne havis aliancanojn. La franca alianco estis ebla post la usonanoj kaptis britan invadarmeon ĉe Saratogo en oktobro 1777, pruvante la eblecojn de la usona idealo. La alianco iĝis polemika post 1793 kiam Britio kaj Revolucia Francio denove militiris kaj Usono deklariĝis neŭtrala. La rilatoj inter Francio kaj Usono malboniĝis kiam tiu lasta alproksimiĝis al Britio per la Traktato Jay de 1795, kio kondukis al nedeklarita preskaŭmilito. La alianco foriĝis ĉirkaŭ 1794 kaj formale finiĝis en 1800.
