You have to learn that if someone uses the name Salorno or Bolzano they are not right-wing fascists out to make you study Italian for 12 years. Your surname looks like a Ladin surname to me. Are you angry also because previous generations of Germanic people made your family speak German? I mean, relax! The important thing is to capture all the historical names and current Italian and German names in the article. You saying I'm going around Wikipedia erasing German, that is absolutely absurd. On the English Wikipedia I put the Republic's national language first (Standard Italian), then the locally-spoken language second. Is this fascist and right-wing? It looks like a pretty basic convention to me that is often used in English. I've done this in towns in the Val di Non (Italian, Nones). In the Ladin communities (Italian, Ladin, German). In the German communities (Italian, German). Actually, why are you so up tight about the order? I remember you don't like Alto Adige/South Tyrol because South Tyrol comes second? Come on, this reminds me of Korea and Japan fighting over the World Cup title. The Italian language is simply the language of Tuscany that is now the national language of Italy. Having a Standard Language is not far-right politics, it is a necessity in any modern country. My relatives speak mostly Ladin these days, but I certainly have a strong German and Roman/Italic background. I have no bias towards one or the other. In fact, I should be the person you would most like to know, after what I saw you write on my page. I live in the US so I see this from a Global point of view. There is nothing worse to me than seeing the ridiculous fighting between "ethnic" groups. I actually do not see them as ethnic groups, it is all a mix of the same people, but speaking some different tongues. Someone in Merano/Meran is as much my "cousin" as someone in Verona; same with Innsbruck. I like the Ladin language the best actually, if I'm biased I better go and change everything to Ladin, right? I think your mentality is still a bit too binary.
