Leo Strauss (naskiĝis la 20-an de septembro 1899, mortis la 18-an de oktobro 1973) estis german-usona politika filozofo kaj klasikisto kiu specializiĝis en klasika politika filozofio. Li naskiĝis en Germanio de judaj gepatroj kaj poste elmigris el Germanio al Usono. Li faris plej el sia kariero kiel profesoro de politika scienco en la Universitato de Ĉikago, kie li instruis al kelkaj generacioj de studentoj kaj publikigis dekkvin librojn.[1]
