The Monkees

The Monkees (pron. [ðə ˈmʌːŋkiz]; anglalingve misliterumata formo de monkeys, signifanta „la simioj“) estas usona pop-rok-muzika bando kreita de la televida industrio en 1966 por kapitaligi la popularecon de The Beatles ktp. Ili rolis en samnoma televida programo 1966-1968, kaj daŭrigis registri muzikaĵojn ĝis 1970. En 1971 ili formale malfondiĝis, sed poste plurfoje rekuniĝis.
