Mi ne scias Esperanton.

Sorry, I don't know enough Esperanto to use it on this "Diskuto" page. (Mi lernas Esperanto, tamen mi estas komencanto.) Thanks to my knowledge of French and Spanish, however, I know this sentence roughly translates as: "La diversaj gustoj havas siajn specifajn lokojn sur la lango" The different tastes have their specific places on the tongue

This is factually incorrect, and is an old misconception. Quite simply, tio ne estas vera; tio estas malkorekta. As such, it should be changed. (Perhaps it could become "People used to believe that... [source]; however, it is now known that... [source]".)
