Polyball
Polyball nomiĝas la tradicia festbalo de Svisa Federacia Instituto pri Teknologio Zuriko (ETH Zürich). Ĝi okazas ĉiujare je la fino de novembro; ĝi tute takseblas klasika danc-plezurkunveno. La averaĝa nombro de balantoj estas ĉ. 9000 gastoj. La honoran estrecon plenumas la universitata rektoro dum la organizon mem prizorgas Fondaĵo KOSTA.
Historio
redaktiOni supozas ke la balo estiĝis en la 1880-aj jaroj. Ĝis 1927 ĝi estis konata sub la titolo Akademie okazigate por karitataj celoj. Ekde la 1950-aj jaroj elpensatas por ĉiu jaro nova moto de kiu memkompreneble dependas la dekoracia speco. En la kuro de la tempo la ejoj ja ŝanĝiĝis: koncertejo Tonhalle Zürich, hotelo The Dolder Grand, Zurika foirejo, la ĉefa domo de ETH. Ĉi-lasta ejo estas funkcianta balgastige jam ekde tri jardekoj. Ekde 2005 eblas relegi la balan historion en bela libro de Sanders/Hasenfratz.
