Ŝajnas al mi, ke en anglalingvaj nomoj kiel "Utah State University," Utah State estas la nomo de la Universitato, simile al Duke en "Universitato Duke." Tial mi kredas, ke eble "Universitato Utaho Ŝtata" estus pli bona nomo. Aŭ "Universitato Utah State." Mi ne tute scias. Alia ebleco estas la formo "Ŝtat Universitato de Utaho," kiel en Ŝtata Universitato de Campinas. Mi trovas ĉi lastan formon la plej logika.--Niko, 13:09, 17 Jun 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, let me use English here because I can not write Esperant well. When I hear "Ŝtata Universitato de Utaho.", I will feel that it means "University of Utah". Because University of Utah is state unviersity too. It may be Japanese speaker feeling not English speaker feeling. In fact, many people in Japan (maybe, more than half of all) think that these universities are same university. We (= almost Japanese people, I believe) think that the name has *the mean* except no meaning words, the means is the name. If the means of the names are same, We think these things as the same. If we can not distinguish by only mean, we tend to judge by the order of the words, or by words used (For example, "de" = "of"). Therefore, I do not think that "Ŝtata Universitato de Utaho" is good name. So, I recommend "Universitato Utah State" in these candidates of the name of USU. But, I want to leave its decision to yours, native English speakers, good Esperanto speakers.--HATA A. K. 17:59, 17. Jun 2008 (UTC)
