Varpo estas koncepto de ebleco pri vojaĝoj pli rapidaj ol lumo en multaj sciencfikciaj verkoj, precipe Star Trek kaj Mi, Roboto de Isaac Asimov. La ĝenerala koncepto de varpaj motoroj ("warp drives") estis enkondukita de John W. Campbell en sia romano de 1931 "Insuloj de Spaco".
