A Treatise on the Astrolabe (Traktaĵo pri astrolabo) estas mezepoka instrukcia gvidlibro pri la funkciado de la astrolabo de Geoffrey Chaucer. Ĝi elstaras ĉar estis verkita en prozo, en angla, kaj priskribas sciencan ilon.

La Treatise estas konsiderata "la plej antikva verko en angla verkita pri ellaborita scienca ilo".[1] Ĝi estis admirita pro sia klareco por klarigi malfacilajn konceptojn — kvankam modernaj legantoj kiuj ne havas veran astrolabon povas trovi la detalojn de astrolabo malfacile kompreneblaj. Robinson kredas, ke ĝi indikas, ke se Chaucer estus verkinta pli libere komponitan prozon, ĝi estus estinta supera al liaj tradukoj de Boecio kaj de The Tale of Melibee.[2]
