redaktiLi naskiĝis en 1749 en Halkyn de Hugh kaj Ann Davies, kaj estas membro de familio de dek fratoj; li pasigis sian tutan junecon en tiu vilaĝo.
Sur registriĝo de la paroĥo, lia laboro estas pentristo kaj miniaturisto. Li pentris multajn miniaturojn por la naturalisto kaj antikvaĵisto Thomas Pennant.
