Uzi la stilon de la ĉefpaĝo de la franca vikipedio, kiu ankaŭ estas bone uzebla en poŝtelefonoj

La franca vikipedio (kaj ankaŭ multaj aliaj vikipediaj versioj) havas pli modernan stilon kiu ankaŭ bone aspektas en malgrandaj ekranoj kiel poŝtelefonoj. Ni povus adapti la stilon por nia ĉefpaĝo.

1. Por: Havi tian ĉefpaĝon estus utila, ĉar oni ofte ne povas aŭ volas uzi la apon de vikipedio. La stilo ankaŭ estas utila por aliaj situacioj, ekzemple kiam oni malpligrandigas la fenestron de la retumilo. Komento: Teorie mi subtenus modernigon de la CSS-stilo, ĉu surbaze de la franca Vikipedio, ĉu de alia vikio - ekzemple, al mi plaĉas la ĉefpaĝo de la eŭska Vikipedio, kiu ankaŭ havas aranĝstilon freŝan al la okuloj. Tamen endas zorge cerbumi, ĉu tia ŝango rompus iujn ŝablonojn.

Mi malfacile povus testi ĝin, ĉar ĉe mi en la franca vikipedio ial la serĉokesto estas kovrata de kelkaj aliaj butonetoj. • uzo de la nova versio de "Vector", kiel defaŭlto.
• nova aspekto de la ĉefpaĝo laŭ la franca Vikipedio.

La unua afero pri ekuzo de la nova versio de "Vector" estas por mi neutila ĉe mia larĝa ekrano, ĉar tiam dekstre aperus subite sufiĉe multe da malplena spaco, kaj ĉe mi la serĉokesto estus eĉ kovrata de io alia. (tion mi jam vidis en la franca Vikipedio)

La dua afero estas al mi pli malpli egala, ĉar mi malofte vidas la ĉefpaĝon.

Kiu el la proponinto-subtenantoj foje povus krei testan version de la ĉefpaĝo? Mi ne povas testi ion per poŝtelefono, ĉar mi ne vikipediumas per poŝtelefono nek per tabula komputilo. La tieaj ekranoj estas al mi tro malgrandaj. Kaj mi sufiĉe malŝatas uzi virtualan klavaron por la vikipedio. - Antaŭ kelkaj jaroj mi foje vikipediumis iomete per mia tabula komputilo. [upcoming deployment] Growth team features

Hello! Sorry to use English. Please help translate to your language.

I'm Trizek (WMF). I work as a community relations specialist for the Wikimedia Foundation. I'm here to share a message from the Growth team.

As you may already know, the Growth team's goal is to create features that would help newcomers. Our goal is to help newcomers when they edit for the first time and also to increase the retention of new editors. Several wikis already have these features since a long time now. Working with these wikis, the Growth team found evidence of the efficiency of these new features.

These features will be available for all new accounts on your Wikipedia starting on March 24. This way your Wikipedia will offer more options for newcomers to make good first edits and become community members.

How to help?

First, we need help to translate the features. At the moment, most of the messages newcomers will see on your Wikipedia are in English, some of them have been translated using machine translation. Please help translate the interface (done on translatewiki.net. It needs a specific account).

Also, I need your help for the configuration of the features. It you are familiar with Phabricator, here is the ticket with all the information we used for the deployment. Please have a look at it. You can suggest changes by replying to this message, or directly on Phabricator.

• We are looking for a maintenance template that would match our "Copyedit article" task (fix spelling, grammar and tone), and their associated help page.
• We are also looking for an help page that explains to newcomers how to bring existing articles up-to-date.

When these blocking points will be addressed, the team will be able to deploy the tools on your wiki, only for experienced users (activation will be possible in your preferences). This way, you will be able to check if everything works fine before we deploy the tools to more wikis.

If you wish to, you can create a list of mentors. This will activate the optional Mentorship module. Please format the list following the guidance. You need at least one mentor for each 500 new accounts created monthly on your wiki (3 mentors minimum). Are you hesitant to become a mentor? Please check the resources we have written based on other mentors' experiences.

You can try the Growth features on Esperanto Wikipedia

The features available right now in your preferences (here and there) so that you can try them. They are not yet visible to newcomers.

They include:

• Newcomer homepage: a new special page, the best place for a newcomer to get started. It includes:
  • Newcomer tasks: a feed of task suggestions that help newcomers learn to edit. Newcomers have been making productive edits through this feed! Know more about this tool.
  • [optional] Mentorship module: each newcomers has a direct link to an experienced user (see below). This way, they can ask questions about editing Wikipedia, less the need to find where to ask for assistance.
  • Impact module: the user sees how many pages views articles they edit received. Have a look at Special:Impact for yours!
• Help panel: a platform to provide resources to newcomers while they are editing. If they do some suggested tasks, they are guided step-by-step on the process of editing.
• Welcome Survey: communities can know why newcomers create an account on Wikipedia.

En Kategorio:Mortintoj en Berlino, oni povas vidi la indikon:

Multaj kategorioj "Mortintoj en <LOKO>" havas tian indikon (kaj inverse). Tiujn indikojn amase aldonis iu roboto. Tio estas tute bona.

Bedaŭrinde, la roboto estas iom stulta. Ĉar ankaŭ ekzistas pluraj kategorioj kiel ekz-e Kategorio:Mortintoj en aviadilaj akcidentoj en Rusio, kie oni vidas indikon:

Tio estas plene absurda. Kredeble ja neniu iam ajn naskiĝis nek naskiĝos en aviadila akcidento, nek en Rusio, nek aliloke.

Kiumaniere oni povas trovi ĉiujn tiujn kategoriojn "Mortintoj en <MORTOKIALO>" kaj forigi la absurdajn komentojn?

En Majo okazos plia fojo de la artikol-verka konkurso "Afrika monato 2021" (sub organizado de Radioamatoro kaj KuboF Hromoslav. Kontraste al la antaŭa jaro, nun ni pli fokusiĝos al atingo de Afrikaj esperantistoj - unuflanke per niaj personaj kontaktoj kaj helpe de aliaj Esperantaj organizoj, kaj duaflanke per pagata reklamo. Nuntempe estas malmultaj Afrikaj Vikimedianoj, eĉ mapli en Esperantujo. Per sia partopreno en Vikimediaj projektoj ili unuflanke provizos specialan vidpunkton, neprovizeblan per alikontinentanoj, kaj aliflanke mem spertiĝos pri diversaj teĥnologioj kaj temoj, kio utilos al ili ankaŭ en aliaj partoj de Vikimedia aŭ Esperanta agado. Venkontoj ricevos valorajn premiojn; speciala kategorio estas planata por Afrikaj nov-vikimedianoj.
