Zoltán Sylvester akiris diplomon pri geologio-paleontolgio en UBB de Kluĵo (1996), kaj li estis du jarojn praktikanto en la sama universitato. De aŭtuno 1996 li vivas en Usono, nuntempe en Houston (Teksaso). Li doktoriĝie en 2001 en Universitato Standford (Usono). Li estas esploristo ĉe Royal Dutch Shell, (Houston, Usono).
