John Lothrop Motley

John Lothrop MOTLEY (15a de Aprilo 1814 – 29a de Majo 1877) estis usona verkisto, plej bone konata pro siaj du popularaj verkoj The Rise of the Dutch Republic kaj The United Netherlands pri Nederlando. Stante studentoj en la Universitato de Göttingen, Bismarck amikiĝis kun Motley. Motley, kiu poste iĝis elstara historiisto kaj diplomato dum restis proksime al Bismarck, verkis romanon en 1839, Morton's Hope, or the Memoirs of a Provincial, pri la vivo en Germana universitato.
